aXXo converts commercial DVD movies into computer files that are uploaded on the Internet for downloading. On file sharing websites, aXXo files attract a large following because of their relatively small file size, ease of download and use, and their consistent quality due to their reliable and synchronous encoding. Over a million users download aXXo files each month. Files released by aXXo follow the naming convention “name of movie[year]DvDrip[Eng]-aXXo.avi” where “DvDrip[Eng]” implies it was ripped from an English-language disc and “avi” refers to the resulting file format. The video is encoded according to the MPEG-4 ASP standard, compatible with the Xvid codec. The aXXo postings also carry an attached text file that states, in part: “Be aware of bogus sites and lamers, download your aXXo files from aXXo accounts. Enjoy!”

That’s the AXXO entry on Wikipedia. I just think about posting about AXXO when I ran over and re-read my post about the group who rips TV shows, the group who called themselves EZTV.

Of course EZTV is doing tv rips while aXXo rips movies from DVD.

Anyway, AXXO, the name associated with movie torrents in the internet and bitorrent is apparently a rebelious individual who wants to have payback to the board. Lot’s of people claimed to be AXXO but looks like nobody is being questioned about it. Anyway, if you’re AXXO you wouldn’t reveal yourself right? And claiming that you’re AXXo will certainly takes credibility to the next person who claims that he is AXXO. SO that means that whoever this AXXO Character is, he’s still out and his torrents, there and still giving us the entertainment we wants!

First things first though, I am no advocate of using peer-to-peer sharing or torrents while inside the office but I don’t deny that, I too, is using peer-to-peer and torrents to download music and files and ebooks.

As a System Administrator, I suggest that you do these stuff at your own time, in your own bandwidth… ok? Let’s start with our Torrent post.. EZTV.

What or who is EZTV?

Those who ever been a torrent user or those who download files from the internet (specifically TV shows ripped from HDTV) using torrent surely knows what/who EZTV is.

Although this post will give you all the torrents uploaded by EZTV, let us go into a detour and give a little background to EZTV as a torrent user or as a user who supports the torrents community.

First thing, EZTV is no individual person. EZTV is a group of people who do HD TV rips of the current and popular TV shows being aired. EZTV

EZTV has been the leading TV-torrent distribution group for over a year now. They collect and distribute the TV-torrents, that find their way to millions of people every week. Time to have a chat with one of the EZTV crew members, to find out a little more about them.

For those who are not familiar with EZTV. They are the ones that do the initial seeding for the TV-torrents indexed by sites like Mininova and The Pirate Bay. They also have their own site, with useful tools like a TV-calendar, an episode list, and a countdown list that shows how many days you will have to wait until your favorite TV-show returns.

You can read an interview with the EZTV Team at TorrentFreak here.

Well, enough said about this great group of people.. here’s the link of their uploaded torrent work in mininova.
