Here’s a common problem that our users complains about:<\/p>\n

The Problem<\/strong><\/p>\n

When they telnet or ssh or connect to a remote host, the backspace key doesn’t seem to work. When pressed, all it shows are caret characters but it does not erase.<\/p>\n

The Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s one way of solving it…<\/p>\n

  1. Type in: stty erase<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Then press the ‘backspace’ key<\/li>\n
  3. Enter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
